About us
Sam Calvert has been practicing law in St. Cloud since 1978.
He is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law in St.
Paul, Minnesota.
BANKRUPTCY: Sam was formerly a member of
the private panel of bankruptcy trustees for chapter 7 and
a chapter 12 trustee. His bankruptcy practice now focuses
on representing people in financial distress and individual
or small business creditors--not large corporations.
REAL ESTATE: Sam is a Real Property Specialist,
certified by the Real Property Section of the Minnesota State
Bar Association. He has examined literally thousands of abstracts
of title to land in Central Minnesota. He enjoyed teaching
a class at St. Cloud State University, and hopes to do more
teaching in the future.
Barb R. has been running the front desk since 2003; she formerly
worked at Electrolux here in St. Cloud. She is the person
who usually answers the phone when you call.
Carol G. has been with Sam for about seven years, and does
much of the production work for the bankruptcy cases. You
can get on her good side by talking about Harleys and (she
says) doing everything she tells you..
Where we are
Our office is at the northwest corner of downtown St. Cloud.
The street address is 1011 2nd St. North, STE 107, St. Cloud
MN 56303.
Landmarks: We are at a stoplight intersection, in a brown
brick story-and-a-half building named "Executive Plaza".
We are across the street west from the downtown St. Cloud
post office and across the street north of Daniel Funeral
Home. We are two blocks west and one block north of the Stearns
County Court House (the one with the dome).
Please call as we will be glad to give you directions from
whichever street or highway you will be on.
Driving directions:
From the west, come down Division St. to 12th Avenue; turn
left; go north three short blocks (named St. Germain, 1st
St. North, 2nd St. North); turn right at the stop sign at
2nd St.; North; go easterly about one and one-half blocks.
As you approach the stoplight, there is a parking lot on the
west side of my building
From the south, come up Highway 15 to Division St.; turn
right onto Division St.; come down Division St. to 12th Avenue;
turn left; go north three short blocks (named St. Germain,
1st St. North, 2nd St. North); turn right at the stop sign
at 2nd St.; North; go easterly about one and one-half blocks.
As you approach the stoplight, there is a parking lot on the
west side of my building
From the north, come down Highway 10 until the intersection
with St. Germain St. (a stoplight intersection with Wendys,
BP station, Copper Kettle, and Hemsings Deli). Turn right;
proceed westerly until you cross the Mississippi River. At
that point the street changes its name to 2nd St. North (although
you are on the same street). Continue to the fourth stoplight
(4th, 6th, 8th, 9th); when you are at the fourth stoplight
continue about one-half block; the parking lot to my building
is on the west side of the building.
From the east, come down Highway 23, which as you enter St.
Cloud is renamed Division St. Cross the Mississippi River;
continue through three stoplights (4th and 8th); just after
you have gone through the third stoplight there is a ramp
leading down off the highway to 9th Avenue. Take the ramp;
when you get to the bottom of the ramp, turn right about 45
degrees. You will then be heading north, up a small hill.
Continue through the light at the top of the small hill and
on to the second light. Turn left at that second stoplight,
and turn right into the parking lot on the west side of the
building. If you go under a railroad overpass, you have gone
too far!
